Automated Attendant
This demo illustrates how VocaBase can help a company provide speech-enabled access
to their main reception service. The Company Reception demo server allows the caller
to find answers to their most frequently asked questions, 24 hours a day.
A caller can access information on the company and its products, can hear live demos and
listen to a list of current news and or events. The caller can also be put in contact
with company agents who are not in the office at the time of the call.
The answers are organised by subject. Callers can at any time select
search indexes proposed automatically by VocaBase® , using
telephone touch tones (DTMF), or directly express their interests in
natural language (voice recognition), even if these are not immediately
prompted by VocaBase® .
After selection of the desired offering, VocaBase® presents its description through Text-to-Speech.
VocaBase® follows the natural hierarchical organization of index values in database
terminology (thesaurus) to generate prompts to the caller.
In the interactive demo, you can receive the information you need by choosing a subject.
If you do not know what to choose, simply listen to the options proposed.

This demo illustrates how VocaBase can help a client order goods on line, identify him or herself,
consult the status of their order, and select their delivery point. The client has access to all
these services 24 hours a day simply by picking up the phone.
Callers can at all times either select search indexes proposed automatically by VocaBase® ,
using telephone touch tones (DTMF), or directly express their interests in natural language
(voice recognition), even if these are not immediately prompted by VocaBase® .
The application is composed of a series of standard modules which can be retreived, such as the
identification module, payment, finding a store branch etc.
If you try out the interactive demo, you will receive the information you require. If you do not
know what to chose, ask for "help" to have an example for any code requested.

Tourist guide in France
This tourism information demo server allows the visitor to find, in English, French and Dutch,
24/24, some examples of different tourist activities.
The activities may be retrieved by region, nature and/or target public.
At all times, callers can either select search indexes automatically proposed by VocaBase® ,
using the touch tones (DTMF) or directly express their interests in natural language
(voice recognition)), even if these are not immediately prompted by VocaBase® .
After selection of the desired activity, VocaBase® presents its description through Text-to-Speech
and may optionally provide a contact number by SMS.
VocaBase® follows the natural hierarchical organization of the index values in the database
terminology reference (thesaurus) to generate prompts to the caller.
In the interactive demo, you can receive the description of the activity you're interested in
by choosing a region (Ardèche, Charentes, Paris, Breton Coast...) or a type of activity
(sports, leisure, visits, castle, museum...).
If you don't know what to choose, just listen to the propositions.
The French and Dutch demo applications use a TeleAtlas phonetic geographical lexicon to ensure
the right pronunciation and recognition of geographical proper names.
