Jobs and resumés publishing

Private and public employment service organizations publish information about jobs openings for applicants and about curriculum vitae for employers.

This information is usually published on various media such as press announcements, information kiosks, TV and radio broadcast, and more recently dynamic internet web-sites.
Some employment service organizations also operate call centers where job openings and resumés are accessible.

VocaBase® voice enables the access to databases already published on the Internet.

Since it is content centric, VocaBase® enables employment service organizations to evolve into real multimedia on-line contact centers by operating more efficient and accessible self-service voice portals.

 The solution

A VocaBase® Voice Portal dedicated to human resources allows callers to find, in their mother tongue and 24/24, the job openings or the resumés corresponding to their profile and their interest.
The access dialog uses multiple search criteria such as the target sector, job function and level, skills and education requirements, job location or contract nature.
For each criterion, the caller may either directly express his preference using the server speech recognition capability or make a selection by voice or phone key pad among automatically generated guiding proposals.

After selection of desired opportunities by the caller, the voice server will present the detailed job description available in the database, using text-to-speech.
Employers can navigate in the list of available résumés in order to find those corresponding to their requirements.

The VocaBase® application template for human resource voice servers includes typical terminology databases used in the HR brokering business, such as jobs and skills terminology or geographical locations definitions, synonyms, hierarchical organizations and pronunciation rules.
This is particularly useful to enhance the acceptability of the service by the caller base while keeping the configuration efforts under control.

Typical dialogs may lead to the following transactions :

  • Detailed description of a selected job.
  • Request to receive alert SMS or voice messages in case of updates of the database that correspond to configurable search criteria.
  • Get a contact phone number or e-mail (by SMS).

 Benefits

The voice server for human resource information generates the following benefits :
  • The possibility to access information anywhere at anytime 24/24, 7/7.
  • Complete multilingual service (each applicant receives information in his own language).
  • Dialogs are automatically adapted to any update in the published database.
  • Access to personal records of contacts.
  • Cost savings to operate the call center.
